Zach, an All-State athlete who is still reeling from his mother's death and his father's abandonment, seeks glory on the football field, striving to obtain a college scholarship and get the boys out of town as quickly as possible. David dons his track cleats to save Zach's future and steer him in the direction of hope after a catastrophic injury forces Zach to miss out on his aspirations.
