The film Rock Star chronicles the story of Chris Cole and his involvement with a rock band known as Steel Dragon. Cole works as a photocopier technician during the day and as the lead singer of the Steel Dragon tribute band "Blood Pollution" during the night. Internal conflicts among the members of the Steel Dragon band result in the firing of the band's main singer, Bobby Beers, and the beginning of recruitment sessions to find a replacement. The genuine story of the heavy metal band Judas Priest served as a loose inspiration for this film.
