Inspector in charge Jacques Clouseau has died. At least, that's what everyone, including Charles Dreyfus, thinks when a dead body is found in Clouseau's shot-up car. Clouseau knows that this isn't true, so he uses the fact that he isn't alive to find out why someone tried to kill him.
