Ava, who has a Type-A personality, owns "Rent-an-Elf," a business in which she helps busy families have a memorable Christmas. This year, she is hired by Liam, who is now single, and falls in love with him and his cute son, Nathan. But just when Ava thinks she's found her match, Liam's ex-wife comes back wanting to make things right. Even though Ava decides to put Liam and Nathan's happiness ahead of her own, she is still determined to give them the best Christmas ever and maybe even hopes for a Christmas miracle or two.
