Renoir
Provence, 1915. Pierre-Auguste Renoir is plagued in his later years by the loss of his wife, the rigors of rheumatic old age, and the devastating news that his son Jean has been wounded in battle. When a young girl appears out of nowhere, the elderly painter is infused with a new, completely unexpected vigor. Andrée, radiantly gorgeous and full of life, will be his final model and the source of a spectacular rejuvenation. Back to the family house to recuperate, Jean is seduced by the new, redheaded star in the Renoir constellation. He falls in love with this wild, untameable spirit in their Mediterranean Eden-against his father's vehement disapproval-and as he does, a filmmaker begins to bloom within weak-willed, battle-shaken Jean.
