Raising the Wind

This comedic caper is directed by Gerald Thomas, who is most known for his work on the film "Carry On." It has early performances from James Robertson Justice, Sid James, Leslie Phillips, Kenneth Williams, Liz Fraser, and Eric Barker. The comedy at the center of this movie is around a group of music students who decide to pool their resources and move into a shared apartment so that they may save money and have a space to practice their instruments. When Mervyn Hughes (Phillips), the main character, inadvertently sells one of his compositions to an advertising agency, things start to get complicated for him and he runs the risk of losing his scholarship. Is it possible for him and his friends to come up with a means to make enough money to purchase back the music rights?
