Piñero
A Latino legend, Miguel Piero, a gay poet, dramatist, and actor, is the subject of the film "Piero," which chronicles the narrative of his turbulent life. This Tony-nominated 1974 play was based on Piero's experiences while serving a sentence for drug selling and petty theft at the hard-core Sing-Sing correctional facility in California. This was too much for the Latino bad-boy genius, so he went into hiding in New York City's darkest corners.
