An isolated commune of children, their moms, and their charismatic leader, Gregori, is home to 11-year-old Alexander on the outskirts of a crumbling metropolis. Gregori imparts his knowledge of cattle husbandry, vegetable gardening, community organization, and, yes, even the art of killing, to the children under his care. He begins to question the influence of Gregori on the children and their training to become killers as a new baby brother comes into the picture. Concerned about his son's inability to follow orders, Gregori's behavior toward the youngster has become increasingly unpredictable and antagonistic. The people of the commune fear a violent end to the conflict as the community's way of life begins to disintegrate.
