Melanie, a 13-year-old girl, is the protagonist of the third film in the PARADISE TRILOGY, Hope. Melanie spends her vacation in the Austrian countryside at a stringent diet camp for overweight teenagers while her mother (Teresa) is in Kenya. The adolescents try to do sports during the day and get drunk in the evening under the supervision of a tattooed trainer and a frightening doctor. Melanie falls in love with the doctor, who is 40 years her senior, through physical education and diet counseling, pillow fights, and her first cigarette.
