High school dropout Mio is a female student. She regularly meets up with her childhood friend Arata and her best friend Madoka in Ikebukuro in the hours following the school day's conclusion. When Madoka confides in Mio that she has feelings for Arata, Mio can't help but feel the same way. She lies, promising assistance because she is afraid of their relationship crumbling. Mio's hostile behavior toward Arata is intentional, and it ultimately leads to a physical altercation between the two. She makes up her mind to talk things out with Arata, but on the way to see him she is involved in a vehicle accident. In her groggy state, she finds herself in an unfamiliar setting. Ikebukuro, yes, but not as she remembers it...
