Dad Longworth, fleeing the cops after a bank heist in Mexico, spots an opportunity to steal the stolen riches while his companion Rio is apprehended. Rio escapes from the prison where he has been for years and seeks vengeance on his father. Dad is now a respectable sheriff in California, but he has been fearful of Rio's return.
