One Deadly Summer
Spring 1976 saw the arrival of a beautiful young woman, whose German-born mother and her disabled father relocate to the village of a firefighter nicknamed Pin-Pon. Eliane's provocative nature is immediately recognized. Myopic and hating her reputation as a dunce and easy, she focuses her attention on Pin-Pon, and soon she's sobbing on his shoulder, knitting baby clothing and planning their wedding.
