Once I Was a Beehive

Lane Speer, 16, goes camping with her family every summer. She takes the memories for granted until her father succumbs to cancer unexpectedly. A year later, Lane's mother remarries a man she doesn't know. Worse, he's Mormon. They even arrange for her to go to a bible-themed girls camp with a lot of young Mormon girls while they are on their honeymoon! She struggles to reconcile her new circumstances and her father's death by recalling family camping trips.
