Song, a 20-year-old Vietnamese man residing in Prague, aspired for a better future in Europe. In contrast, he is now a modern slave in a marijuana grow house in a Vietnamese neighborhood of Prague. The police sweep the area. Song flees to the rooftop of a nearby condominium building, where he breaks down. Mr. Rypar (78) lives alone. He has a great aversion to the current world due to his fondness of the past. Rypar ascends to the roof, where he encounters Song weeping at the roof's edge, and the story begins.
