Indy Zimmerman's life is anything but ideal. With a stepmother who appears to make it her life's mission to make Indy's life as miserable as possible, stepsisters who refuse to speak to her, and a boy who ruined her life suddenly wanting to be a part of it, life is already challenging. When you add high school, romance, and tragedy to the mix, things get much worse. When her cat is killed by the most popular boy at school, Bryant Bailey, Indy wants nothing to do with him. However, he appears determined to be a part of her life, and when all other attempts to get rid of him fail, she decides to give him a chance. Indy quickly learns that initial impressions can be deceiving.
