Raku Ichijo (Kento Nakajima) is an only son who is currently enrolled in high school. His father is the boss of the yakuza organization Shuei-gumi. Raku Ichijo is a pacifist who prefers to study rather than battle. His ambition is to hold a position of public trust. Chitoge Kirisaki accidentally kicks him in the head while he passes through the entry gate of his high school one day (Ayami Nakajo). She is a first-year transfer student at the institution.
