New high school freshman Clifford Peach is finding it difficult to fit in because of a bully who terrorizes his other students and extorts lunch money. Overgrown misfit whose sheer existence intimidates kids and teachers is Clifford's solution. Although they started out as a "commercial connection," Clifford and the troubled loner quickly became more than that as they worked together to defeat their oppressors and develop a particular bond of friendship.
