Music Within
He joins the Army and is sent to Vietnam after a fight with one of his idols makes him realize that he will not be pursuing a career in public speaking. During his military duty, Richard suffers a significant loss of hearing. Richard realizes his gift for motivational speaking after joining a new group of friends that includes a man with cerebral palsy and an alcoholic war veteran. As a result, he becomes an advocate for individuals with disabilities.
