Seventeen-year-old Brooke Emerson looks good and has a lot of friends. Her classmates and even some of her best friends want to copy her looks. But even though Brooke looks like she has everything, she has never felt so lost. During a cheerleading stunt last year, she hurt her head. Since then, she's had an uncontrollable, sometimes violent, rage. As hard as she tries to keep it together, she is in danger of ruining her seemingly perfect life, no matter how hard she tries. This feeling of acceptance and understanding doesn't come to Brooke until she meets an attractive and captivating stranger named Jake. No matter how hard she tries, she just can't shake the feeling that something is off with their connection. Especially because she's afraid that she was the killer. Brooke has no choice but to rely on her new love, even though she fears that she was the killer.
