Mr. Blue Sky: The Story of Jeff Lynne & ELO

In-depth look into Jeff Lynne's life and career, as well as the ways in which he has had such a significant musical impact on the world. Several notable collaborators and friends of Jeff's, including Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Tom Petty, Joe Walsh, Olivia and Dhani Harrison (of the Harrison sisters), Barbara Orbison (of the Orbison sisters), and comedian Eric Idle (of the Eric Idle show) share their stories in this documentary. The film illustrates that Lynne is a true musician, who considers the recording studio to be his most important instrument. This is an intimate portrait of a great British pop classicist who has ploughed a unique furrow since starting out on the Birmingham Beat scene in the early 1960s, moving from the Idle Race to the multi-million selling ELO in the 1970s, and then as a key member of the Traveling Wilburys with Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Roy Orbison, and George Harrison.
