Mothra vs. Godzilla

Unlike the previous Godzilla films, the fourth installment in the Godzilla franchise returns to the somber tone of the first film. A selfish developer has erected massive sucking machinery near Tokyo in order to dry out a section of the ocean so that he may build luxurious condominiums. After a storm, a massive egg washes ashore on a local beach and is discovered. The developer's preparations go astray when he interferes with Godzilla's sleep, causing the monster to march across Tokyo as a result. In order to protect its egg and Japan from Godzilla, Mothra must take the initiative. One of the most popular films in the original Godzilla series, and one of the most popular films ever made.
