Lullaby of Broadway

Pretty Musical ensemble Melinda Howard has traveled the world to perform. When she returns home, she intends to surprise her mother, who she believes is a successful Broadway performer and lives in a house on Manhattan's Upper East Side. She had no idea that her mother is a decrepit cabaret singer who enjoys a shot of alcohol every now and again. When she arrives at the mansion, she is welcomed by two servants who are friends of her mother's. While the house is actually owned by Adolph Hubbell, an amiable Broadway producer who is also caught up in the ruse. After meeting Melinda, Hubbell decides to cast her in his upcoming production. On top of that, Melinda falls in love with a hot hoofer who appears on the show. But Melinda's life is going well other from her desire to see her mother, who continues delaying their meeting.
