Love's Labour's Lost

The film, which is an adaptation of the original Shakespeare story, was shot in the style of a classic 1930s musical by director Kenneth Branagh. Love's Labour's Lost is the story of four closest friends who vow to stay away from love for the rest of their lives. The King of Navarre and his three companions take a highly public oath to study together for three years and to abstain from female company during that time. The presence of the Princess of France and her three attractive friends immediately challenges their honor. For everyone involved, it's love at first sight, followed by the men's extremely entertaining but ultimately futile attempts to conceal their affections.
