L'Inhumaine
A famous singer Claire Lescot, that lives on the outskirts of Paris, is dated by several males, including a maharajah, Djorah de Nopur, and a young Swedish researcher, Einar Norsen. At her extravagant parties she appreciates their amorous focus however she stays mentally aloof and heartlessly teases them. When she is told that Norsen has killed himself due to her, she shows no feelings. At her next performance she is booed by a target market outraged at her temperature. She checks out the vault in which Norsen's body lies, and also as she confesses her sensations for him she uncovers that he is alive; his death was feigned. Djorah is jealous of their brand-new relationship and causes Claire to be attacked by a poisonous serpent. Her body is given Norsen's research laboratory, where he, through his scientific developments, brings back Claire to life.
