Life Is Sweet

Wendy, Andy, and their twenty-something twins Natalie and Nicola reside just north of London. Wendy works as a shop clerk, teaches aerobics at a primary school, tells vaudevillian jokes, agrees to waitress at a friend's new restaurant, adores Andy, a cook who procrastinates on home improvement projects, and buys a broken down lunch wagon with a drunken friend. Natalie, a plumber with short, clean hair and a sharp, droll demeanor, has nothing planned except a vacation to America. Last but not least, there's Nicola, the odd man out, with his snarl, huge spectacles, cigarette, mussed hair, nervous fingers, and a bulimic, jobless, and unpleasant disposition. The film's focus is on their interactions and how they deal with family strife and love.
