In the aftermath of Eastside High School's decrepit state, principal Joe Clark finds himself confronted with kids dressed in gang colors and walls covered in graffiti. To ensure that the school's turnaround is successful, he expelled suspected drug traffickers, locked the doors and demanded effort and results from students, teachers, administrators, and parents. This real-life professor, who was autocratic to a fault, put everything on the line for his students.
