Suddenly, the lovably simple residents of quiet Kikoriki Island are thrust headlong into a world of tremendous adventure when their resident scientist invents an incredible invention-a helmet called "the Improverizor"-that swaps the personality attributes of one person for the traits of another person. Despite his best efforts, however, spineless young Wally ends up becoming much more spineless when he mistakenly switches bodies with a squirmy little caterpillar while attempting to utilize the unproven technology to cure his cowardice. In fact, he now has even more to dread than he could have ever imagined, and his fellow villagers are terrified as well, as they're dragged into a crazy adventure filled with plane crashes, mistaken identities, erupting volcanoes, and vengeful primitives on the warpath. They wish they could swap places with anyone right now, and the Kikoriki Crew is no exception.
