In the wake of Chick Allen's deployment to the military, Hap Smith has launched a new nightclub act. As a soldier parody, Hap now has a beautiful new female accomplice. When Chick organizes a soldier exhibition at Fort Benning, he discovers he needs his former partner's help, so Hap impersonates a hapless actual soldier, but circumstances force them to extend the masquerade, producing an increasingly complicated Army-sized SNAFU.
