Johnny Kapahala - Back on Board

Johnny Kapahala, a teenage snowboarding champion from Vermont, travels to Oahu, Hawaii, in order to attend the wedding of his hero, local surf legend Johnny Tsunami, as well as ride a few of the world-famous waves on Kauai. Johnny Kapahala is Johnny's grandfather. Johnny is introduced to his new family upon his arrival, one of whom is his "Uncle Chris," a 12-year-old boy who is the son of his new step-grandmother who is opposed to the impending marriage. Chris's only goal in life is to become a member of a mountain-boarding crew that is commanded by a bully in his age group. When Johnny's grandfather and his new wife decide to create a surf shop that also provides services to mountain boarders, they quickly find themselves in the middle of a turf war with the owner of a competing shop who is determined to drive them out of business.
