Jakob the Liar

Jakob, a Jewish shopkeeper in Poland in 1944, is summoned to the ghetto authorities after being discovered out after curfew. Jakob overhears a German radio program regarding Russian force movements as he waits for the German Kommandant. When the shopkeeper returns to the ghetto, he shares his findings with a friend, leading to the spread of claims that the ghetto contains a secret radio.
