Isla bonita
Menorca is in the midst of its summer. Olivia, who is still a child, has lost all sense of the world. She had just finished an affair in order to start a meaningful relationship, but it was only a matter of time before it ended as well. Nuria, her sculptor mother, consoles her and offers practical guidance. A fresh breeze blows over the island when retired advertisement filmmaker Fernando moves into their guesthouse. Fernando wants to seduce Nuria, but Olivia regards him as a father figure. ISLA BONITA is a pleasant, delightfully joyful comedy full of miscommunications–and a sweet ode to Menorca, the idyllic holiday island. Fernando Colomo, the director and lead actor, charms us with this semi-autobiographical fiction picture.
