Stanley Ford lives an exquisite existence as a bachelor. He is a nationally syndicated cartoonist who earns a luxurious townhouse and a full-time valet, Charles, through his Bash Brannigan series. When he awakens the morning after attending a friend's stag party, he discovers that he is married to the stunning woman who burst out of the cake - and who speaks no English. Despite his early reservations, he develops an appreciation for married life and even transforms his cartoon character from a super spy to a somewhat frazzled spouse.
