Heavenquest: A Pilgrim's Progress

Inspired by the 1678 novel The Pilgrim's Progress, and conceived as a prologue to John Bunyan's original writings, this novel is set in the New World. When a regal man named Vangel is unexpectedly and strangely jailed, he is forced to embark on an adventure against his will. After escaping the dark king's warriors and becoming injured and disoriented, Vangel begins to have weird dreams and visions of a mystery woman in white calling him from the undiscovered area of the North. When Vangel obtains "The Record of the Ancients" from Elder, he starts upon an odyssey that takes him across perilous mountains, infinite deserts, the Lake of Doubts, and the Forest of No Return. As they go together, travel companions tell stories of a fabled good monarch and his son in the North, if only he can survive the journey there.
