A romantic drama set in England, Paris, and Spain during the 1930s. Gilda Bessé lives in a Paris apartment with Guy Malyon, an Irish educator, and Mia, a Spanish immigrant who came to the city as a child. Against all odds, as the globe teeters on the brink of war, Gilda proudly pursues her hedonistic lifestyle and her budding photography career. Guy and Mia, on the other hand, feel compelled to join the struggle against Nazism, and the three friends are forced to part ways.
