Bob Maconel, a disturbed loner, imagines blowing up his Los Angeles office tower. He brings a handgun to work, intending to kill coworkers and himself. He has chats with his fish at home, who encourage him. His boss picks on him. He spills a bullet while fastening his courage to the sticking spot, and another coworker performs exactly what Bob planned. Bob is a hero, and his only friend, a cheerful colleague, is seriously injured. Can Bob help her find herself and joy in life? Or is this impossible for a man like him?
