Hart's War
Colonel William McNamara, a fourth-generation Army officer, is imprisoned in a brutal German POW camp. Nonetheless, as the senior American officer, he commands his fellow inmates, keeping a sense of honor alive in a place where honor is easily destroyed, all under the watchful eye of Luftwafe vetran Col. Wilhelm Visser. McNamara is silently planning, waiting for his chance to strike back at the enemy. A murder in the camp provides him with the opportunity to put a risky plan into action. With a court martial to keep Visser and the Germans busy, McNamara devises a devious plan to escape and destroy a nearby munitions plant, enlisting the unwitting assistance of young Lt. Tommy Hart. McNamara uses a hero's resolve to carry out his mission with his men, and is ultimately forced to weigh the value of his life against the good of his country.
