Jim and his daughter Veronica, a high school music instructor, unravel their secret histories. After a bad prank, Jim's daughter is wrongly convicted of abusing her authority over Clive, 17. Veronica believes she should be punished for prior offenses. Confused and disappointed by Veronica's resistance, Jim's unhappiness affects his profession as a food inspector.
