Gripped: Climbing the Killer Pillar

On a thousand foot cliff in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California, Gripped is a feature-length survival drama. Rose, a gym climber from Los Angeles, goes on her first outdoor climb in the book Gripped, which follows her journey. Inexperienced outdoorsman Bret catches Rose's eye as they boulder together. It is against his better judgment that she convinces him to accompany her on a difficult rock climbing route known as "Killer Pillar." Bret's life is turned upside down when he falls and tears his shoulder ligaments. Rose has no choice but to lead the ascent to the summit, as there is no other option. At dusk, they realize they've got a long way to go and have no choice but to set up camp on the precipice of a cliff's edge. As a storm approaches the following day, Bret's consciousness fluctuates. Rose is the only one who can save both of them.
