Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters

After decades of losing to Godzilla and other huge monsters, the human species is forced to depart Earth in the year 2048. They travel for twenty years to another planet called Tau Ceti-e, but when they arrive, they find that it is no longer livable. As their ship's living circumstances worsen, a young man called Haruo leads a movement to return to Earth and reclaim it from the monsters. The ship returns safely, but the crew discovers that it has been twenty thousand years since Earth's biosphere evolved to become focused on Godzilla.
