Flavia and Fabio, a married couple, are discovered dead on the dockside in Venice. She drowned, and he was stabbed to death with a large pair of scissors. The police question Flavia's best friend, Marzia, and a chain of murders begins. A prostitute is stabbed in the crotch; Marzia's lover is shot in the kneecaps before being doused in petrol and set alight; and Marzia herself is tied to a kitchen table and dismembered before being stuffed in a fridge.
