Ghost in the Shell Arise - Border 1: Ghost Pain

The story takes place in 2027, one year after the fourth non-nuclear war concludes. When a self-propelled mine bombs New Port City, it is still reeling from the war's aftermath. Then, a military member involved in arms-dealing bribes is assassinated. During the investigation, Daisuke Aramaki of the Public Security Section meets Motoko Kusanagi, a cyborg wizard-level hacker assigned to the military's 501st Secret Unit. Batou, a man with the "eye that never sleeps," suspects Kusanagi is behind the bombing. Togusa, a detective with the Niihama Prefectural Police, is investigating both the shooting death and the murder of a prostitute. Motoko is being watched by Kurutsu, the head of the 501st Secret Unit, and cyborg agents.
