There's a room somewhere in Tokyo. There is a black sphere in that room. People who should have died are transferred to the room on a regular basis. The sphere equips them with special suits and weapons and dispatches them on a mission to kill aliens on Earth. The rest of the world is largely unaware of these missions as they take place. These missions are lethal, and few people survive them. The sphere makes the decisions, and it's not pleasant. Gantz.
