A senior couple goes about their habit of cleaning their gabbeh (an beautifully patterned rug) while quietly bickering. A young woman comes miraculously to assist the two in cleaning the rug. This young woman is a member of the clan whose history is reflected in the gabbeh design, and the rug recalls the young woman's courting by a stranger from the clan.
