Michael Perry plays the role of Alex Whitman (Matthew Perry), an architect from New York City who is dispatched to Las Vegas to supervise the construction of a nightclub that his firm has been paid to create for a wealthy client. Alex (Salma Hayek) is a straight-laced WASP-ish type who meets Isabel Fuentes (Salma Hayek) on a night out on the town. Isabel is a free-spirited Mexican-American photographer who Alex falls in love with. After falling in love at first sight, Alex and Isabel end up spouting profanity.
