Ellie, a recovered heroin user, has recently relocated with her two teenage children to a new city. She has battled to stay sober in the past and is determined to make it work this time by getting a solid job and attending her meetings on a regular basis. Unfortunately, new friends, a new career, and the prospect of a new life aren't enough to keep Ellie from falling apart once more. Her life changes when she meets Christopher, a different type of addict, who compels her daughter and son to embrace a new version of Ellie.
