Falling Down

On the day of his daughter's birthday, William "D-Fens" Foster is trying to get to the house of his separated ex-wife so he can see his daughter. His car breaks down, so he leaves it in a Los Angeles traffic jam and starts walking. He goes to a convenience store and tries to get some change for a phone call, but the Korean owner refuses, which pushes Foster over the edge. Foster, who is mentally ill, gets so angry at the flaws he sees in society that he starts to act violently and irrationally against them.
