Michel, a jazz enthusiast, has recently discovered a rare album that he plans to listen to in the comfort of his own home. However, it appears that the entire world is conspiring against him: his wife selects this very moment to make an inconvenient confession, his adult son pays a surprise visit, one of his pals knocks on the door, and his mother continues phoning him on his smartphone. Also worth mentioning is the yearly House Party that the inhabitants of his apartment building are having today. Michel, a manipulative and liar, is willing to go to any length to obtain a brief moment of peace and quiet. Is it still feasible to have just one hour of peace and quiet in this day and age?
