Disaster Wars: Earthquake vs. Tsunami

An catastrophe deep beneath the Marianas Trench causes a massive Tsunami that destroys the Hawaiian Islands as it moves westward. Panic grips the western coasts of North and South America. Scientists conduct an underwater explosion in an attempt to decrease the tsunami's impact, but mistakenly make the wave more powerful and concentrated on Los Angeles. Scientists scramble to find a remedy, while the military prepares for the worst. The city of Los Angeles has begun an emergency evacuation. Even as a bold young grad student devises a solution: trigger the mother of all earthquakes to oppose the surging deluge and elevate the continental shelf off the coast of the United States, lives and loves are lost.
