An English mother and her teenage son spend a week preparing to sell their remote vacation home in the south of France. Elliot, a fifteen-year-old boy, is struggling with his emerging sexuality as well as his growing estrangement from his mother, Beatrice. She, in turn, is confronted with the realization that her marriage to his father, Philip, has become loveless, and that the life she knows is coming to an end.
