Paratroopers Murdock and Drake are inexplicably dispatched to Washington, DC. When Drake finds out he's getting the Medal of Honor, he flees before the newspapers can photograph him. Murdock follows the clues and finds Drake dead. Further research reveals unexpected turns. Rip discovers that Johnny is accused of murder and sets out to clear his name. He falls for Coral, whose husband Johnny is said to have murdered.
